Golden Katana: Design and finishes

This golden katana, whose bo-hi blade can be sharpened or not, is made of T10 steel. The wooden scabbard is black, with a wide gold band covering the braided black sageo.

The handle, or tsuka, is made of hardwood and coated with black PU samegawa. The golden PU leather tsuka-ito is woven in a diamond shape around a gold-colored carved menuki. The golden tsuba is decorated with a fish and wave carving. The golden habaki contrasts with the color of the blade of this golden katana, bringing it to the fore.

With a 72 cm blade and a total length of 102 cm, including scabbard, this katana weighs around 1.4 kg.
