In the captivating world of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga, demon slayers use special weapons called Sun Blades or Nichirin Swords, pronounced Nichirin Tō in Japanese. These unique blades are forged from a rare mineral that absorbs sunlight, the crucial weakness of demons. Consequently, only these blades, or weapons coated with Glycine poison, can eliminate these supernatural creatures.

These exceptional swords are forged from scarlet sand and nuggets, found on mountains constantly bathed in sunlight. Each blade is unique, taking on a distinct color when first held by its owner. Black sun blades, like Tanjiro’s, are the most powerful. Tanjiro and his companions use them as their weapon of choice to slay demons.
