Beatrix’s Katana Sword: the Bride in Kill Bill
This katana sword is the faithful companion of Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman) in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill saga. A former hitwoman, the woman nicknamed Black Mamba or The Bride is an ex-member of DIVA, a criminal organization of contract killers. After discovering she was pregnant by Bill, the organization’s leader, Beatrix fled into hiding to rebuild her life.
Renamed Arlene Machiavelli, she was celebrating her wedding with Tommy Plympton in the small chapel of Two Pines when the Assassin Vipers arrived and killed everyone. Beatrix survived the bullet in her head and set out on a quest for revenge, vowing to kill Vernita Green, O-Ren Ishii (head of the Tokyo underworld), Budd (Bill’s brother), Elle Driver, and finally Bill, the head of the organization aka “The Snake Charmer”, played by David Carradine.
Trained by Pai Mei and armed with her sword forged by Hattori Hanzō, she decimates her ex-companions one by one for revenge.
