Hasu Katana Sword: design and finishes

This Hasu 蓮 katana sword, also known as Lotus, has a steel-colored T10 steel blade featuring a stunning flame-shaped hamon. The black lacquered wood scabbard is decorated with white lotus flower symbols. The black alloy rounded guard is decorated with delicate lotus flower motifs, carved into spikes and hearts. The handle, covered in imitation white ray skin, is wrapped in white leather woven into diamond shapes, ensuring a comfortable, elegant grip. The black menuki are also adorned with lotus flowers. The Fuchi and Kashira, in black alloy, harmoniously complete the picture, while the smooth brass Habaki, engraved with lotus flower symbols, highlights the attention to detail and finish of this remarkable weapon.
