Red Katana: Design and finishes
This red katana features a T10 steel blade and a sharpening option. The wave-shaped hamon is highlighted by a bo-hi running the length of the blade. The bright red saya is complemented by a thin sageo of the same color.
The hardwood tsuka, in a black PU samegawa, is wrapped in a red tsuka-ito woven into a diamond pattern, for a comfortable grip. The round black and gold guard, featuring a carved dragon, is held in place by a gilded brass habaki.
With a blade length of 72 cm, an overall length including scabbard of 102 cm, and a weight of 1.4 kg, this red katana has well-balanced proportions.
