Wooden Training Katana: Design and finishes

The blade of this wooden katana is made of rosewood. A thin blue sageo is woven into the black and blue speckled wooden saya.

The wooden tsuka and white PU samegawa have a blue tsuka-ito woven into a diamond shape, for a comfortable grip. The round, carved iron guard is topped by a gilded brass habaki.

The blade of this white katana is 72 cm long. Measuring 102 cm including the scabbard, it weighs only around 1 kg, making it easy to carry for sword training.
