Tenshin Katana Sword: design and finishes
The name Tenshin (天心) literally means Heavenly Heart. In Japanese tradition, this term refers to the state of perfect harmony between the human spirit and divine energies, an ideal sought by samurai in their quest for martial and spiritual perfection.
Its T10 steel blade reveals a genuine Juzuba Hamon, an undulating temper line that bears witness to the ancestral craftsmanship of differential tempering. The copper tsuba features a coiled dragon, symbolizing power and wisdom, while the fuchi and kashira elements display wave and wind motifs that evoke the perpetual motion of natural forces. The handle combines authentic stingray skin and solid wood, wrapped in black diamond-patterned braiding that ensures a firm and elegant grip. The golden menuki punctuate this chromatic harmony, and the orange-red lacquered wooden scabbard contrasts beautifully with the black and red sageo, creating a striking visual whole.
